I‘ve seen actress Zooey Deschanel in many movies, but I didn’t think much of her movies until (500) Days Of Summer
I also love Zooey’s 60s look – the hair, makeup and style is just so refreshing. I caught an interview with InStyle she did some time ago where she talked all about her favorite makeup, and thought I’d post. She also sounds so cool! Hope you enjoy.
- Face. “OK. This is the best concealer: Shu Uemura Mark Cealer in Beige No. 4. Here are two blushes that I love: Delux Beauty Flush Stick in pink and Age of Innocence by Fresh. Both are good for fair skin. Sometimes I use powder, and I like Pink Flurry Sheer Shimmer powder by M.A.C.”
- Eyes. “To create the Brigitte Bardot look with eyeliner, I use Maybelline Eye Express Easy Lining pen in Brown Mink. I like Lancôme Definicils for mascara. For eye shadow, M.A.C Goldmine is good with red lipstick if you have blue eyes.”
- Lips. “For lips I use Stila Lip Rouge in the Smooch shade. But usually I wear M.A.C Brick lip liner. I love makeup!”

I like her too, because she seems so fresh ! Actually, I prefer her sister as an actress (she’s so good in Bones ^^). Did you know that zooey deshanel has a music band ?

i like her too! first time i’ve seen her was on the movie “yes man” and i branded her “katy perry”. doesn’t she look a lot like katy perry? or maybe katy perry looked a lot like her. katy perry’s style isn’t too original anyway…
YEAH! She and Katy Perry look really alike, I read a magazine article who wrote about Katy but there were pictures of Zooey in it, I guess they couldn’t tell the difference either! But I find Zooey much prettier personally :-P I like, how Krib said above, she’s so “fresh”.

She is gorgeous! She has such a refreshing look and eyes that are so large and stunning.
Zooey is one of my favorites. She’s quirky, stunning, and a talented musician. Her personality is so refreshing after hearing about all the diva-esque behavior in Hollywood.
I’ve used MAC Goldmine (having blue eyes myself), but found the color payout to be a bit lacking. I prefer Aromaleigh or Meow Cosmetics for my eyeshadows just because I crave color!

Peaches and warm browns are usually considered best for blue eyes, yet my skin is very cool-toned so they don’t look as flattering as they should. I like grey, purples, blues, plums and wine tones, pinks- basically anything cool toned. I am a sucker for smoky eye looks and have gotten a lot of compliments when I do a smoky plum eye.
