Here’s a beauty tip to do with getting your curliest lashes ever.
Clamp your eyelash curler at the base of your lashes, and then “walk” it out to the tip of your lashes. Be sure to clamp it all the way gently for about 5 seconds. Remember to be very gentle, you don’t want to pull out some of your precious lashes.
Now, go bat those lashes silly! ;)

Hi Diva!! Question…Is there a difference with eyelash curlers? For example Revlon and Shu Uemera? Keep up the great work!!
Mary007 - Hello! Alright Shu Uemera fans are gonna slap me … but I don’t see a difference :S I have the one by Shu Uemura myself because it’s so raved about, and I like it, but I remember using other ones (Bobbi Brown, some brandless drugstore one) and they all pretty much did the same thing. I def recommend the one by Shu Uemura but it’s a little pricy, if not a normal Revlon one should work OK. :)
Hope I helped!
Hi~
I think I must’ve “walked” backwards or something, because the eyelashes on one eye ended up zig-zaggy!! :D I didn’t know how to fix it (in case it got worse) so I just left it like that lol! So thanks for the tip :)
Vanessa – You’re most welcome! Aww haha I think it’s cause you clamped too hard – try it more gently next time! :) This used to happen to me a lot until I loosened my grip and pressed down gently. You can also try this method: clamp once at the roots of your lashes, then at the center, and then right at the tips. But remember to be gentle or you will have some very weird angles on your lashes :-P
I’ve always been reluctant to try eyelash curlers..I think it looks like a torture tool ^^
I’m not sure if this only happens to me but my eyelashes don’t always match the other eyelash…one seems perfect and the other is clumpy. What am I doing wrong?!?!
Hey Mary! Tough question! Hmm. I’ll write a few of the possible reasons it could be!
- You must make sure all the lashes are in the curler – if some are not in them, some will end up curly, some will be straight, etc.
- Make sure your lashes are all untouched before you curl your eyelashes.
- Unfortunately, some lashes are naturally like that. For me, my left eyelashes are all insane! Some are so short and curly, some are long and straight down, it’s so crazy! Sometimes a curler doesn’t help much for that left eye, but on my right eye my lashes look perfect! :(
Do let me know if I’ve helped, if not please tell me, I’ll have to ask a “professional” aka my best friend! :-P
