Tyra Banks Shows Off Her Real Hair

September 11, 2009

in In The Media

Tyra Banks is definitely a hairstyle chameleon – remember this? Well, for the premiere of Season 5 for her talk show, The Tyra Show, Tyra came out and showed off her real hair – free of weaves, extentions or wigs she’s used in the past.

What do you think? I really wish it wasn’t wet though, so we can really see her what her hair is like.

UPDATE: I found out that later in the episode she did show off her real hair, dry and all! Tyra also added some personal photos of her natural hair on her new online magazine, here incase you didn’t see the episode. Here are my two favorites she posted up (I hope I don’t get in trouble!). All I can say is that I LOVE IT! She needs to sport this look more often! :D

hum, I’m not convinced that she wants to show her real “her”. If she had really wanted too, she would have go with dry hair ! (but I won’t blame her for that, because I never show my hair when it’s not styled yet..except if I want to be mistaken for a lioness).

Dear Renee,

Hi.
I love your blog, you know it right?
I visit it every day.
Now, would you stop freaking tweaking the design already? I notice a small change every day! I can tell you can`t make up your mind. I decided to say something, because I love the way it looks today, so stop. I love the header, it would make a good logo :)

Oh and I too, wish Tyra`s hair was dry, but it`s cool she went for real hair.

Krib – yeah, I wish it was dry too! It looks like a lovely color as well (if it’s her natural color). I’m surprised by the length, I think she could pull off short hair like that! It looks great on her.

Rosa – Aw I’m so sorry! I’m on quarantine at home for 10 days cos I have serious antibiotics to take so yeah, I have been fiddling with my site these few days cause I’m going crazy being at home! I know it’s annoying, I apologize … it’s over now, except for one little thing that I don’t think anyone will notice. And yes, his header is staying – I had been looking for a big fat bold font, and finally found one. So it stays!

Sorry again for being annoying! And I really appreciate that you visit everyday, please don’t leave due to my crazy design tweaks! Haha :P

It was seriously good of her to show up like that on her show. Although she can be a bit self-centered (she gave Miley Cyrus a poster of herself to “inspire” her O.o), she really does a lot of stuff to improve young girls’ body images. Maybe if she started rocking a ‘fro? That would be cool :)

Rosa – Yay :)

Kaye – She did that?! That is a little bit too much I think haha! That’s so crazy! And I would love if she sported a ‘fro too. I want to see her REAL real hair :-P

It would have been interesting to see her dry hair:) but I think was not on her best interest so….she decided wet is better:)
