Due to my holiday the past week, I’ve skipped not one, but two (!!!) Beauty Tip of the Week posts and I apologize! I’ve missed it too much, it’s my favorite type of post to write. Hopefully, this tip will be so useful that you’ll forgive me. ;)

This week I thought that I’d share some of my tips on eyeliner, my all time favorite makeup. Plus, I stumbled upon the image above and was so inspired, I knew I had to write about it – seriously, now that is what I call eyeliner. (By the way, does anyone know who the model is? She’s gorgeous!)
Though I’ve been using eyeliner for almost 7 years now and consider myself to be pretty good at it, when I started out I had no idea what I was doing – drawing a straight line on your upper lash line is harder than it looks! Thankfully, I once read about this tip to make the application easier and of course I’m going to share it with you.
For beginners to eyeliner (or those with shaky hands), draw several dots across your top lash line, as close to your lashes as possible. Next, play ‘connect the dots’ with short strokes to join them, making it a full line. And don’t worry if it’s not perfect – take a Q Tip and softly smudge the line so it blends nicely. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll be applying eyeliner like a pro in no time!
Have you ever tried this method before? If you haven’t I really recommend you try it out – it really makes it easier to apply a straighter line. :) (And if you want even more eyeliner tips, check out my post Makeup 101 – How to Apply Eyeliner!)

She’s really pretty and I love her pink hair. I am really intrigued by ‘scene queens’ though, what exactly are they?! Either way, I LOVE one of her shirts. In fact I think I want to buy it. Have you ever bought any of her stuff?
naw but i love the shirts, might purchase a crop top… a scene queen is like a kid who dates band guys and has crazy hair and stuff, there was also kiki kannibal and jeffree star and hanna beth, haha its weird…

I just got a Lancome mascara Hypnose and it came with a black eyeliner pencil free so for the first time since I was 12 I am going to be wearing a little black eyeliner. But instead of raccon eyes that I have realised after these years doesnt suit my complexion, I will only be using a little at the corners just to fill in gaps between the lashes.
Nice to hear, Christine! :) Hypnose was one of my favorite mascaras. Before I head they test on animals, grr.
I do something like that with my eyeliner, but instead of connecting the dots I leave the dots like they are on my lower lash line, it’s kinda mod looking! Have you tried felt tip eyeliner pens?
“Scene” is pretty popular in America. It’s kind of like emo except with lots of color and attitude! I love the look, even though outrageous hair and makeup looks silly on me.
U know I LOVE eyeliner, but I´ve tried to smudge before and it looks like my eyes are toooo small, if I smudge it covers all my eyelid, almost!! I have a hard time trying to do the “cat eye” look u know?! I never do it right and then I wash it off. But I need to buy a new eyeliner, mine sucks, i wanna buy mac fluidline, have u tried?
Oh, and usually im better doing other´s people makeup than myself, but with eyeliner Im even worse.
Thanks for the tip! I must admit I don’t use eyeliner because it never comes out the way I wanted. That thing with the dots is actually a very good idea. I can’t believe you are using eyeliner for 7 years already. At what age did you start using makeup? God knows that when I was 18 I barely used mascara and lip gloss and if you are asking me about foundation, that was over 25. :)
