What is my latest obsession, you ask? Fuchsia lips – the brighter the better, baby!
After sporting that weird mouth piece (that made a WOOOO sound) on New Year’s Eve, I remember staring at it and telling myself what a lovely, ‘loud’ pink it was and I would love a lipstick that color. (Is it weird that I got a lipstick color lemming after a mouth piece? Oh well.)
I did my research, and found some fuchsia lip color products:
- MAC lipstick in “Girl About Town”
- MAC lipstick in “Show Orchid”
- Lancome’s Color Fever lipstick in “Rock Chic”
- Urban Decay’s “Jilted”
- Kat Von D “Backstage Bambi”
I love this bold, bright color. Paired with black eyeliner (though it’s still quite bright, so keep the eyes more subtle), nudish-pink cheeks (I’m guessing NARS Orgasm is the best), and sexy, volumized hair, this look screams rock-star glam.
What do you think of fuchsia lips? Would you dare to sport such a bold look? I think I might have to go down to my MAC counter an check their color out, but if you have any other products to recommend, please do!

i thinkthey’re soooo pretty! they do make lips more noticiable, but at the same time, they give a girly look…. luv it! i need to buy one… i also like pale pink lips… like pink pout by revlon….
Hey LorLori, I like pale pink lips too, it’s such a sweet look :) This is def a bit more noticeable than pink lips, and is full of attitude but very girly at the same time :D If you do try it out let me know! :D

I love the looks of fuchsia lipstick and i’ve been meaning to get one to experiment but i’m pretty certain it won’t suit my skin tone.

Aw, you can try it out at the counter first to see how it suits you? I too am scared it’ll look weird on me but I am planning to try a lot of shades until I find the right one! There are many different shades ranging to the more pink or purple hues that you might find suits you too, so do try them out! :D
I got myself a fuchsia lipstick! It’s very sheer and it kinda suits me : )

I love fuchsia lips, but I’m not ready for full-on lipstick, so I wear a pigmented gloss instead. My fave is MAC lipglass in Magnetique.

Hey Renee! As much as I love my reds, I can’t live without fuchsia too! My all-time favourite is YSL’s Rouge Volupte in 11. STAGE Cosmetic’s Papparazi Pink is pretty hot too. :) But if you want to start sheer, I like YSL’s Gloss Pur in 5. :)

I am soooo obsessed with Fuchsia lipsticks! I have all the MAC ones mentioned above and 3 more, plus 2 from NARS, 2 from YSL and the New from the MAC Liberty collection (a must have!). I Adore how the color brightens up your face and gives you a sexy look immediately! Love the look!
I’ve been wating to try it for a while now and today i will buy me a fuchsia lipstick! ill use a cheap one cuz im scared! haha Revlon Colorburst Fuchsia!!! and i’ll wear it this friday if i go out and party!! Fun!
