TINte Cosmetics MatchBook Review

I previously wrote a post on a cute new makeup line I discovered a while back, TINte Cosmetics. I very briefly said I tried out their lip glosses (love them!) but I also found a new product of theirs, Match Book, that would make a great Xmas gift this year.

TINte created a line of match books, a small makeup kit that contains two eyeshadow colors, a blush, a gel eyeliner, and two lip glosses, as well as brushes. At the back, there are easy-to-use instructions on how to create the look (according to which match book look you have). Like they said, you “don’t need to be a makeup artist to use these kits and they offer everything a girl would need!”

I think this would be a great gift to anyone who has women in their family who may be new at makeup, or just anyone who needs a whole look in one.

The Match Books come in three looks;

Blushed Beauty (pinks and plums)

Natural Beauty (bronze and chocolate colors)

Smokey Eyes (grays and pinks)

I tried the Match Book in Smokey Eye, which suits me well as I’m sure everyone knows by now I love dark eyes!

Though I love the kit overall, my favorite was the gel eyeliner and the lip glosses. The gel liner is very intense (though make sure it dries properly before opening your eyes, I got very funny looking rings on my lids) and the lipglosses, like I said earlier, are great. They smell so delicious!

The eyeshadows go on very smoothly, and the brushes that were included are actually pretty good. I especially liked the lip brush, as it was completely new to me – I’ve never used a lip brush in my life! While the blush looked very bright in real life (looks a little paler in the picture) it didn’t go on too scarily bright. The kit definetely creates a whole look, minus mascara – so when I tried this out I used recent favorite mascara, Divide and Multiply.

However, I would say the best thing is the effiency and convience this whole kit is. It very slim so it can fit in any purse, and I really think this would be a great gift to someone starting to wear makeup.

Anyone tempted? :-P I think the Blushing Beauty match book looks great as well!
