Oh ok, phew! 'Cause I thought you were blaming me so I was like :'(

Yeah, you should def research products online and find reviews on them before you buy them, that's what I do so I'm hardly dissapointed with products! And advertising will tell you anything so they can sell their product, so don't believe what they say. Most of the time it's alot of empty promises.

$50 is way too much, here you can buy very high quality designer makeup... how crazy! Oh and I am from Denmark, so I'm Scandinavian too! (Well, half of me is haha). I'm glad you found my site though, nice to meet you :)

Hey, no I was just stating my opinion. I read your review after I bought it.
From now on, I guess it's a good idea to read up on things before I buy them, hehe. I only read the advertisments, how it was wonderful for your skin etc. So I guess it's my fault:]
Just found your blog yesterday. It's great that you publish honest reports on makeup etc:)
I live in Norway. Yes, things are expensive here - but 50 $ is even expensive for Norway.

Hey there,

I'm sorry it turned out really bad for you! Did you buy it after reading my review? Because I did say in my review that it's very light and didn't cover any blemishes, etc, on my face either so if you wanted a heavier coverage you should try something else.

USD$50 is ridiculous, where do you live? They marked it up way too much. I said it's reasonable because it is when I bought it, where it was USD$27. I'm sorry you feel so cheated but I can't really do anything about the price where you live. :S

I tried this today... and all I have to say is that the feeling of disappointment when you've bought an item SUCKS. You said the price was decent, in my country I paid equivalent of 50 USD. It's a little expensive for a student.
I asked the lady at the cash register if she could find the lightest shade they had (I'm pale and everything is too dark) and she found it and assured me it wouldn't be too dark.

When I came home I applied it as shown and understood immediately why they say "it doesn't clog up your pores. It's so good you can sleep with it"... well that's because it's just a powder - it's like having nothing on at all. It semi-melted on my skin, like they said it would. However, it did not cover the slightest bit. Nothing! I applied several thin layers with the brush, but still - it was like putting see through powder in your face.
My skin now feels really dry and it didn't cover at all.

Normal make up may clog up your pores, but at least it works. I'm so disappointed.

That was 50 $ out the window.

Hi girls. Thanks for the reviews. I was actually thinking of trying the Body Shop Mineral Make up but not sure if I will now because I have oily skin and don't need any more shine. I love their Kabuki brush though. I first used it today and my make up looked really nice for once. I was using a cheaper brush from Avon but it was kinda scratchy and really itched my face. If you are looking for a mineral foundation that offers good coverage, you could try Nude. I know most chemists sell it. Sorry, not sure who else stocks it. It's the same price as the Body Shop make up - $39.95. I haven't seen it any cheaper than that. And you don't need a lot of it for a decent application. Hope that helps.

Aw Megan, I'm sorry to hear it didn't work for you! Like I said in my review - and like you mentioned - it doesn't go far, the effect lasts only for a while.

I'm glad you liked the Kabuki brush; isn't it cute? :-P

I feel that this mineral foundation is perceived to be good as there is only a few ingredients and the added SPF 25 is great. However the foundation does not go very far. In order to receive a medium coverage you need to use a large amount of the product, and considering how much you pay you do not receive enough product. I understand the so called mineral make-up seems to be the best option for your skin but this product disappointed me. :(

Unsatisfied with this product I do not use it as a foundation but as a setting powder due to the SPF. I really like the Kabuki brush though, it is firm yet soft on the skin. :D

Thanks Connie!

The body Shop's Kabuki brush is SO tiny and cute, and I heard that it's really good. I didn't get it though cause I have an old one from some other brand, haha. :-P

I was looking at Laura Mercier and it looks great, but I found it had bismuth, which caused me to itch like crazy cause they had it in Bare Escentuals, so I can't use it :(

Great review! I'm yet to try them myself. I haven't been tempted to get them but I am VERY tempted to get the incredibly soft and dense kabuki brush.
I'm not too enticed by mainstream mineral makeup line. L'Oreal and Revlon had built in brushes that were horrible and the foundation texture was so cakey. I didn't like them at all. I'd have more faith in TBS and perhaps Laura Mercier mineral foundations though. They seem more "real" than all hype.
