Let’s talk M.A.C. eyeliners. I previously wrote how I had found some of their eyeshadows lying around, resulting in me falling in love with them all over again. One product from M.A.C. that I’ll never forget are their pencil eyeliners. In fact, I was given my very first eyeliner from M.A.C. at 15, my first makeup product ever! My mom was so sweet, she chose M.A.C. for me so that I can have “the best” and since then, I’ve loved them. All through highschool, I wore that same eyeliner she got me and I even bought it two more times within those 2 years; that’s how much of it I used!
So what was this special eyeliner? None other than ‘Engraved’! It’s the perfect pitch black that can be smudged for the perfect smokey black eye (remember my ‘punk’ phase in highschool? That eyeliner was part of my ‘look’ everyday!).
Since then, I have bought Teddy Eye Kohl, Buried Treasure Powerpoint Pencil, and Tarnish Eye Kohl, which I showed in my post on what’s inside my makeup bag.
I haven’t tried any other eyeliners since, except one by Lancome, which was average in comparison! I was lucky to find out that these colors were pretty popular! Every M.A.C. fan I’ve spoken to has Teddy, for example. Anyways, I thought I’d do my very 2nd ‘swatch’ post (the very first was this post) and show you these awesome eyeliners!

Left to right: Tarnish, Buried Treasure and Teddy.
Can you tell I like metallics? ;) Tarnish is a beautiful deep metallic green, Buried Treasure is a metallic rust black with gold shimmer, and Teddy is a lovely bronze color.
I love the eyeliners because they are easy to use (they glide on flawlessly without tugging your eyelid at all), last all day (a big plus for me, I never like to touch-up my makeup) and it’s easy to smudge for smokey eyes (as if I do anything else on my eyes!).
Does anyone here use M.A.C. eyeliners? Which are your favorites? :)
Well, I think I’m a little late (a little?! you scream) but I have started to love M.A.C. eye shadows. I never thought much of them (sorry M.A.C. fans!) and the brand in general, because I just can’t keep up with all their releases! However, I remember buying an eye shadow, Brown Script, from their Matte collection ages ago because I love matte colors and wanted a normal, everyday brown. But I used it once and thought the color doesn’t suit me.
However I found it the other day with Satin Taupe (think it was a gift) and now I’m in love with them! I’m not too excited by the colors I have, but I’ve been playing around and now I do agree with all you M.A.C. enthuists – they really are good!

Here’s why I love M.A.C. eyeshadows:
- fantastic range of colors
- great staying power
- greatly pigmented
- smooth application
- blends well
I would definitely recommend trying out M.A.C. eyeshadows – it’s not high end, it’s not low end, and I believe that it’s quite reasonably priced for such a great product. Love it, love it, love it! Now I’m on the hunt for more colors; khaki, greens, matte browns, champagne, and a perfect ‘base’ color. Any recommendations for me? I like matte and very light shimmer shades!
What do you think of M.A.C. eyeshadows? Which ones are your favorite, and could you help me with some color recommendations? :D
When I first heard about M.A.C.’s Nordstorm Beauty Exclusive, Color Forms, I didn’t pay attention – for one, I don’t have a Nordstorm anywhere near me (or this continent).
What a surprise when I saw they actually sold this here! I couldn’t help eyeing the mini brush sets they offered. I caved in and bought the 5 Advanced Brush Set, not because I’m advanced in any makeup application technique (beauty fool, remember?) but the soft black/white powder brush was too beautiful to pass up, and I really wanted an eyeliner brush that the set included as well.

Since summer is pretty much here, it is time to bring the water-proof, smudge-proof, whatever-proof makeup out!
M.A.C.’s Liquidlast liner is one of their products I swear by and “combines long-lasting wear with a non-smudge, non-flake precision line. Goes on effortlessly.”
One thing about M.A.C. is that their products live up to what they claim. The eyeliner is very hard to get off and does not smudge at all.
I’ve tested this out in the pool, the beach, you name it, after my best friend got one for her and me – this thing’s staying power is ridiculous! I personally don’t wear liquid liner but never say never! (Update: Told you! I’m in love with this eyeliner that can be both liquid and power).
Liquidlast comes in a range of colors, so it is not limited to the normal black and browns. Instead, there are aqua, green, and fuchsia colors to choose from (as you can see in the picture!)
There’s not much to say about this product, except that it’s exactly what liquid liner should be. It’s easy to apply with its nail polish-like packaging, it’s small and compact to keep anywhere, stays on forever, and there are many colors to choose from, and is reasonably priced. In other words, what more could you ask for?!
