Kristen-Stewart-2009-Teen-Choice-Awards

How much of a badass is Kristen Stewart?! I’m really starting to like her style. And she just seems like a cool person. Although – if anyone’s asking – I love her long, messy brown locks, but I think her new haircut (for the upcoming Joan Jett movie, I believe) is growing on me, looks amazing here. It almost makes me want to chop off all my hair to 2 inches long like when I was 9 … oh right, never mind.

Anyways, Frederic Fekkai Celebrity Stylist, Adir Abergel styled this look for Kristen Stewart for the Teen Choice Awards. Adir was inspired by 60′s Rock and Roll pompadour with a spiky ponytail.

Here’s how to get her look!

  • The products. Adir first started out by applying wax to the palm his hands and then added styling gel for extra texture and shine. He applied this to her damp hair until it was full saturated. To get the right texture with short layered haircut like Kristen’s, it’s important to fully saturate the hair with product.

  • The Blow-dry. Once the product was in the hair he took a blow-drier and hand dried into his desired style, directing all the hair with his fingers back to the nape of her neck.

  • The Ponytail. To finish the look, he took the back of the hair and pulled it into a twisted ponytail letting the ends out and then spraying the front with hairspray (this would be my favorite, highly recommended). Make sure to leave random pieces out for a more chill vibe.

The products Amir used are: Coiff Nonchalant Piecing Forming Wax, Coiff Extra Contol Styling Gel and Sheer Hold Hair Spray, all by Fekkai.

So my understanding is this: pile a bunch of products on damp hair, blow dry like a crazy woman, and tie back into a ponytail in 2 seconds, so it looks like you don’t give a —-. Then show off your ‘do, you rockstar! ;)

What do you think of Kristen’s new rocker hairdo, and her look at the Teen Choice Awards this year? I think she looks amazing!

Anne Hathaway is really becoming a fashionista! I love her recent fashion choices on the red carpet, with her new haircut (read my post on how to fake a bob if you want to try the style without the cut!) and her makeup (especially this classy look).

It’s no secret that celebrities inspire fashion and makeup styles, and it seems like Hollywood is influencing each other! Everyone seems to be sporting a ‘modernized’ bob these days, including Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Garner. This cut creates beautiful lines by emphasizing your neck and shoulders.

And good news! I’ve got the exclusive on how to get Anne’s beautiful hairstyle here, plus the products used on her. (Now what about her makeup! Isn’t it stunning?!)

Fekkai’s Adir Abergel explains how to get this look:

  1. You need a good volumizer like Fekkai Coiff Shape and Set Mist to use all over the roots and dry hair upside down to create fullness.
  2. Adir then wrapped hair around a 1″ curling iron, making sure to leave the ends out to create a relaxed curl.
  3. Set with your styling product of choice. (Mine would be L’Oreal Elnett Satin hairspray. I highly recommend it!)

“Clients should ask for a choppier bob so it’s not so blunt, but rather has texture on the ends with longer layers that frame the face for body,” says Adir. “The long bob can become soccer mom-esque if it is too blunt, so make sure your stylist removes some bulk from hair by chops into the ends.”

Even though I don’t have her hairstyle, I’m definitely going to try this look! I’ve never tried any Fekkai products, are they any good?
