Paris Hilton Fairy Dust Fragrance Review

in Fragrance,Reviews

Paris Hilton waves her magic wand and enchants young women in every corner of the world with Fairy Dust, her magical new fragrance. It invites women of every age to believe that with a sprinkle of Fairy Dust dreams really can come true. There’s just a hint of magic in this captivating new fragrance from Paris Hilton.

Whatever you think of Paris Hilton, you can’t deny that she (or her people) have very cleverly cashed in on her public image! A walking brand, I hear that her fragrances sell extremely well to the younger girls.

Fairy Dust is a floral fragrance developed by perfumer Cecile Krakower, and will be released end of October through Parlux fragrances.

Notes include “sparkling prosecco accord”, pink peony, orange blossom, spring gardenia, water lily, peach nectar, sueded patchouli, cashmere musk and vanilla cream.

The scent is extremely soft and understated, so soft I almost couldn’t smell anything at first, but then it turned into this big sparkling glittery overload – “dust”, as the name says. It is very young smelling that I assume this is marketed at ages 12 and under?

Overall, sorry to say but this scent is almost annoying; it is just way too sweet, sparkle-y and young for me! :-(Fortunately, I’m sure to her target audience, this product will sell well. I’d recommend this for anyone who has a younger cousin, sister, or niece.)

I’d love to know what everyone else thinks of Fairy Dust and if my comments are too harsh!

the only Paris Hilton Fragrance that passes my nose test is “Heiress” :) The rest is just too much, you are right about the “too sweet” factor :)

Did you ever write a review on Heiress on your site? I want to read! :-P

I remember a sales lady trying to sell it to me ages ago, because it came with a free bag or something, hahah. I don’t really remember what kind of scent it was though, was so long ago!

i must admit to laughing at the marketing pitch they wrote. its cheesy and so commercialised! i guess, like you say, it is target to the younger girls. also the photo of Paris is so funny, the overall ad is quite hilarious :)

That ad campaign is quite comical. She seems to know her target audience. But I wonder why she is a role model to young girls. What exactly has this woman do to gain role models?

I like that everyone is so honest about that ad campaign – it is quite ridiculous for a woman of her age isn’t it (how old is she anyways?!). But whatever sells, I guess!

Actually, I love the scent of Fairy dust and I am 28. But then again I really love sweet parfumes. I´m gonna buy it on ebay where it costs a lot less. And just let me say this – EVERYONE that smelled it when I was out last time loved it, at least until they knew it was a paris hilton perfume. I don´t really like paris, but I do like this perfume. So think about it for a while if you hate it just because it´s her……

Yeah, I definitely don’t ‘hate’ this perfume because it’s branded by Paris Hilton, (I really don’t have an opinion on her); but like I said I am not too found of sweet scents, but I’m glad you like it!

I did think her ‘Just Me’ and ‘Heiress’ fragrances were good, though. However, whether she likes it or not, some will be turned off because it’s a ‘Paris Hilton’ perfume, just like some will automatically love it because it’s by her, too. So it really depends! :-)

Who really cares who’s name is on the bottle as long as it smells good is all that should matter.I personally like Paris,I think she is a sweetheart and she makes me laugh she has her good qualities! But the Fairy Dust in my opinion smells good it is the most grown up of all her scents so far ( I am 36) and I like Fairy Dust and Heiress.I am not going off of who it is named for! If that’s the case I wouldn’t own all of Jlo’s perfumes because personally I think JLo is a fake person who goes through too many phases first she is black acting (P.diddy) dressing gangsta, then she morphs into this white woman (ben affleck) then in the end she is back to her puertorican roots (marc anthony) it is not that I care who she dates but she tries to be something she is NOT when she was with each of them besides her track record of men puts her into a slut category but I still love her fragrances!
