You really don’t need a degree in marketing to know that companies will promise you anything so you buy their product!
Months of hair styling and coloring can weaken the structure of your hair, making it look dry and brittle, causing split ends. Pantene 3–Minute Miracle changes all of that — helping to repair 3 months of accumulated hair damage in just 3 minutes.
With Pro–Vitamins that instantly penetrate your hair, its concentrated Pro–V formula hydrates damaged hair from within. Simply apply the 3–Minute Miracle onto your hair strands following your shampoo and conditioning, leave on for 3 minutes and rinse off — and you’ll have stronger, more beautiful hair that’s yours to flaunt!
When I first heard about Pantene’s new 3 Minute Miracle Treatment, I honestly thought, what a load of $%^&!
I previously wrote that while I don’t do anything too damaging to my hair, I do backcomb/tease it a lot which makes my hair very prone to brittle and have countless split ends. So I decided to see what this ‘miracle’ treatment was all about.
The packaging says to apply it to wet hair and to leave it on for 3 minutes, then rinse it out again. Unfortunately I started daydreaming and I left it on for 17 minutes, so I can’t really test the whole 3 minute miracle theory.
Either way, I was pretty impressed by this. The formula is incredible rich – it’s so runny that it was sliding down my hands within seconds – and it smelt wonderful. My hair felt incredibly soft, and dare I say it hasn’t felt this soft in a long time….! However, I’m not too certain on this whole undo-3-months-of-damage-in-3-minutes promise, but I think it’s a fantastic, affordable deep conditioner, and I recommend to leave it on for how ever long you want – 3 minutes is definitely not enough.
What kind of treatment would you recommend to undo damage to your hair? I’d love to hear!

Aussie conditioners are quite good and also the conditioners you get with hair dye are fantastic and you can usually buy them seperate too, you dont need to have dyed hair..
condition every single shower trips. seriously, i started doing that last year but got really lazy the beginning of the year. Now, i restart the whole process again and my hair is soft and silky!
Thanks for your recommendation, Claire. I have never tried any Aussie products, don’t think they sell the brand where I’m at :’(
Janis, I used to condition every time I shampooed as well! But like you, I got lazy. I really need to start that routine again. I just cut 2 inches off my hair today so I think some of the dead ends are gone so my hair looks much healthier, but I really should start to condition it again. What do you use?
I want to know how this compares with Pantene Clinicare One Wash Treatment, which has the same packaging. I have a tube of each; time to put them to the test! ;)
mayonnaise is great, my grandmother said she swears of it and her hair is goregous. it is a great moisturizer for the hair, it stinks pretty bad though.
:O Oh my gosh! lol. I’d feel reallyyyyy strange putting mayonaise in my hair, but hey, maybe one day i’ll try it lol!
i tried mayonnaise before but it didn’t work. maybe because i still have to wash my hair with shampoo after so my hair will smell good. but i have tried pantene treatment cream, and it really works wonders!!! i just so love it because my damaged hair became so soft, smooth and shiny after just one application.
I used dove conditional. Any conditional is fine with me since I have also used head and shoulder (when they used to include free conditional with their shampoo) or Asiean (that japanese brand, shampoo sucks but conditional is good to use)… And use lotsa of it.!
Mag, I’ve never head of Pantene’s clinicare treatment… What does it claim to do?
Katy I’ve heard of mayonnaise in the hair but I can’t stand the smell so I don’t think I’ll try it. Have you tried it?
Janis, I tried Dove shampoos ages ago but I can’t remember how it was. And that Asiean brand you were talking about… when it first came out I saw ads for it EVERYWHERE but I haven’t tried it out yet, so I’ll have to look. I think I’ll also need to get a hair mask for extra conditioning, my hair is so bad i can run my hands through it and some just snaps off :(
It conditions the hair, just like the 3-Minute Treatment; only that the instructions are to leave it on for 5 minutes or more (I need to refer to my tubes to verify this!).
It really works – hair is soft and manageable thereafter. This was highly recommended by Big S, iirc, on a Taiwanese tv program (I’m not sure if it was Nu Ren Wo Zui Da).

Oh, the instructions state 3-5 minutes. :D
By the way, the new Asience range (Shine Therapy) works pretty well on my rebonded/thermal-reconditioned hair. It’s so-so on the ends (not moisturising enough) but it keeps the rest of my tresses in good condition!

Is Clinicare only available in Japan? Lucky! I haven’t seen any of this here, but maybe it’s the same product renamed for different markets? The packaging looks quite similar. I’ll have to keep an eye out for it….
I have used up all the 3 min miracle tubes already, and even though I really like it and will definitely repurchase, I feel I should just try every deep conditioner I can find, haha…until the perfect one comes along. :-P The next one I am eyeing is Redken’s Rescue force, so I’ll be reviewing that sometime soon.
Clinicare is only available in Japan and Taiwan. In the days of Yahoo Auctions, it was floating around at a reasonable price. I’d be glad to send you a tube, if you email me your addy! :)
Buy the Pantene from neighbourhood shops like Spring Beauty, Venus or Pink Beauty (these three are all found in Toa Payoh Central). A pack goes for $8+. You save a dollar (plus, minus, depending on the store)!

Hey Mag,
Thanks for your offer but I really don’t want to bother you. I really appreciate it, though! Where did you get Clinicare? Where do you live? :P
I’ve been considering using this three minute treatment as I am in a chlorinated pool at least three times a week and then I shampoo the chlorine out with KMS clarifying shampoo. My hair is dry and frizzy , ugh at the frizziness… so I’m going to try it.
How much is it in AUS $ ?
Hi Annie,
I found a few websites that sold 3 minute miracle in Aus, and it seems to be around $7.99-8.90
There also seems to be a money back guarantee at their website, if you’re interested:

I’d recommend leaving it on for way longer than 3 minutes, though, to really let it work. I hope it works for you! Let us know how it goes :-)
Oh thanks for that info. My hair looks like witchypoo’s at the moment. I’ll pick some up pronto, leave it in for longer per your advice and get back to you with hopefully a glossy soft head.
try also pantene treatment cream.. my hair was severely damaged before but after one application, it became soft, smooth and shiny. i just love it!
hey, was just reading all the previous comments. i have crazy dry hair as well. i am also tempted to try this. will be looking forward to Annie’s thoughts too. and i love janis advice to condition every shampoo session. i admit im very lazy in doing that, so i have to do that!
beauty takes time and effort! cant expect beautiful hair withtout doing nothing ha
Annie – looking forward to it! I really hope it works well for you. That money-back guarantee they have; they must really believe in their product, so it better work!
Lacey, don’t be lazy! :-P
The ones I currently have I bought on Yahoo Auctions. I have another box coming from a friend who went to Japan. :) The first tube I ever tried was actually a giveaway in a Japanese beauty magazine. ;)
I live in SG, so no trouble at all. I’m going to the PO soon, so…EMAIL ME!!! :):)

For the record, a box of the Pantene goes for around S$5.50 in Bangkok! ;)

Ooh ok, if you insist! :) But email me back YOUR address cause I will pay you back.
I’ll email you in a bit, after the New Year? Don’t want to disturb and plus I’m sure it’s madness everywhere around this time!
Please! You most certainly will not pay me back! It’s a small thing. :) Email me any time! :)

does anyone know natural alternatives? I try to keep my hair free of any harsh ways to it. A recommendation from me is to try using coconut oil. It’s a great natural condiionter for the hair and it has made tons of difference. but however it’s a little bit oily and hard to wash off, so that’s why i was wondering for another natural alternative…
thanks guys!
Hey fairydusk, I’ve heard of a few home made conditioners:
-olive oil
-mayonnaise
-avocado (mashed up)
Basically you just apply it to your damp hair, leave it on for a while, then wash out! I have heard great things about coconut oil as well, I will definitely look into trying it out but I am already not looking forward to the smell! :-P
i hav seen pantene 3 min miracle ad on th nad wanna use it but I am unable to buy it in delhi/ncr, due to teh hair clour and rebounding my hair is totally damaged,I hav tried lots of shampoo conditioners nad other treatment butr no result as yet, I believe the pantene can get me rid out the hair problemmplz let me know from hwhere can I buy the same
Hey Pooja, I’m sorry but I have never been to Delhi and would have no idea where you could find this – tried looking online but they don’t seem to have a Pantene website for your region. Try going to a supermarket, or someplace where they normally sell Pantene products?
Hi Thank you for good information!
I’m korean. I have been studying in the philippines.
Last week, I had a terrible expeirence. I bought some straiter cream in the department store. After useing that the cream cutted my hair…..and unfortunetly my hair pull out continuesly….may be I would be a bald!!
Today I watched pantene’s advertise! And I bought it !
but I can’t use it ..I’am afraid of that my country doesn’t have this product …. but I will try it. because you prove it to me!
Hey, I have read all the comments and everyone and youre review has convinced me to buy a tonne of these! My hair is close to disgusting because I have had one too many chemical treatments. I don’t know how to reverse the damage other than to start trimming, to condition and then lay off the chemicals for a while, lol. It sucks but I will just have to do without my iron for a while, and omg when my roots come out haha. Anyways thanks for this, it was helpful and I will buy this soon.
Great! Try it out, I’m sure you two will like it! :)
And then report back! :P
wow this sounds great. so many comments to read haha. i will have a look out, sounds really good..but will leave it on longer :P
Good luck Lesley! :)
I use a mixture of conditioners, one can never seem to suit all my needs! I mix equal parts of Pantene 3 Minute Miracle, Aussie 3 Minute Miracle, Aussie Moist, Redken All Soft, and John Frieda Frizz Ease. I know, it’s a lot! :) I leave it on for 15 minutes, and then rinse everything out really well. I use it from the middle of my hair to the ends, and then I glob on a lot more on the ends so I can “paste” split ends back together. I let it air dry completely, and the end result is soft, smooth, silky hair. People ask me what I use and I just tell them, “You don’t want to know.”
Wow! That’s a lot. But if it works for you, that’s good! I like all of those products except for the John Frieda one, only because I haven’t tried it before! Thanks for sharing your experiences, Elena. Right now I am using one by Wella which is AMAZING, I will be reviewing it soon, lookout for it! :)
Thanks for your helpful review. I’m Manila, Philippines. There’s been tons of ads about Pantene over here lately including the 3 minute treatment. I haven’t bought nor tried it yet because I thought any conditioner left on for 3 mins or more would do the same job. Since you mentioned that this needs more than 3 mins, then it proves that my thought on this is correct. Sadly, I thought this would serve me a better job by sparing me some tasking hair routines. I guess in the end, I’m back to my weekly deep conditioning by leaving on L’oreal Matrix Biolage deep moisture conditioner on my hair for at least 45 mins. :C
hi… i really want to know how the 3minute miracle works.. i’m in doubt if im going to purchase it coz it’s somewhat expensive. But if it can really ‘heal’ my dry & frizzy hair miraculously, i would invest in it.
