Great. There goes another $9 off my non existent pay check each month! I picked up an issue of Nylon after seeing this cover of Megan Fox last year (love her hair) because I saw it at the newsstand and was drawn to it … which I guess is the whole point. The colors, typography, design; I love everything. I also loved how they made Megan look approachable and a girl’s girl, because I think we all know she’s normally a permanent fixture on men’s magazine.
The whole mag is a joy to read, and even though I don’t know much about fashion, I am learning a lot and getting tons of inspiration – I especially appreciate how it’s not all Gucci and high-end, and that I actually look at the outfits and want to own them. The whole mag screams color, style and fun, and my 15 year old wannabe punk-ass is squealing in delight!
I also love the writing and its features, but I think what I love the most is the designs of the pages … it makes turning each page an adventure and I just want to rip its pages out and stick them on my wall (but am I a little too old for that? Sigh). I’ve been looking online at past magazine covers and am floored, they all look amazing. Where the heck have I been?!
Does anyone read Nylon magazine too? If you ever get the chance, do pick up a copy – highly recommended! :)

Aw! :( What don’t you like about it? I agree with you about the ‘cool’ thing, it’s really… I don’t know, is the word indie or hipster (?). Something screams ‘cool kid’ about it, and as I’m so UNCOOL I don’t really fit in, but I really like how they feature artists that aren’t “mainstream”. They’ve already featured my two fave bands so that was it for me. :) And the colors, fashion, art work, individuality, I like it all! :D
i love nylon, despite the sort of “indier-than-thou” attitude. i’m sort of sick of their obsession with young hollywood/hollywood in general, but they always do an amazing styling job and i always discover new designers in nylon.

I totally agree on the Hollywood thing, I don’t like Hollywood too much in general but apart from their cover stars, I like their choice in music, I discover tons of new music! And yeah, love the fashion they feature and the fact that the whole mag is sorta like a scrapbook? Makes the mag fun to read :D
I live in the UK and it’s not easy to get my hands on an issue as they very rarely put them out on the magazine section of stores, and normally they only order in like 1 or 2 and it costs more however I got the november issue and i <3 it. I agree with the whole entire layout, graphics and articles – I would rip them out but I'm too scare too so I keep it as it is :)
I watched a video on youtube of when Kirsten Stewart did a photoshoot and interview for Nylon and the clothes they had her in were amazing – the hair and make-up were also gorge! I dont think they have the magazine where i’m from (Belfast).
