Honestly, I never really pay attention any MAC limited edition collections because before I know it, there’s another collection out! (Honestly though, how many collections do they have a year?) When I heard about the Nordstorm Beauty Exclusive, Color Forms, I once again didn’t pay attention – for one, I don’t have a Nordstorm anywhere near me (or this continent!)

What a surprise when I saw they actually sold this here! I couldn’t help eyeing the mini brush sets they offered. I caved in and bought the 5 Advanced Brush Set, not because I’m advanced in any makeup application technique (beauty fool, remember?) but the soft black/white powder brush was too beautiful to pass up, and I really wanted an eyeliner brush that the set included as well.

This is the first brush set I’ve ever bought, and was the first time I’ve tried MAC brushes (I know! What a sin!). I have no idea on brush names, but the set includes the 187 SE, 168 SE, 275 SE, 219 SE and 212 SE brushes. They definitely live up to their good reputation; I’m very happy with this set. Each brush is ridiculously soft, and application is light and very smooth. Especially that powder brush - I am in love with its softness!

The whole set itself is travel friendly, and the brushes are a perfect size. However, I do not like the little pouch that it comes in, as it’s too loose and flimsy to really hold the brushes well; the eyeshadow brush had a little dent in it a few times that I had to wash to make it return to it’s proper shape.

Overall, I’m very extremely happy with this, minus the pouch, but that’s very minor! It very quite affordable as well, 5 brushes for US$105 – a great investment since brushes can last very long!
