Lancôme L’Extreme Mascara Review

Most of my past mascara reviews have all talked about how great there were for volume and drama – but what about when you just want a natural, lengthening look? I personally love volume, but I do have a favorite daytime-natural-looking mascara for everyday wear…

Enter L’Extreme by Lancôme. I bought this ages ago (before my love affair with it’s brother, Virtuôse) because I read that the whole world says that Lancôme mascaras are the best. I did my research and found some great reviews on the mascara, so off I went!

First of all, don’t expect any volume with this thing – the formula is very inky, which normally means the mascara only has lengthening properties.

The brush is a spaced out, thin bristled brush that deposits the mascara very lightly, so you’d need a few coats to notice a real difference. The color (I got Black) is a deep, dark color and stays on pretty well. I’ve never had any problems with smudging with Lancôme mascaras, but I have heard some who complain it smudges. Either way, there is a waterproof version of it.

Overall, L’Extreme makes lashes look so neatly spaced out and the lengthing is next to perfect. Another winner from Lancome! It’s also great for layering – for extra dramatic lashes, you can apply a lengthening mascara (like this one) and top it off with a thickening mascara (like Virtuôse).

Has anyone tried out L’Extreme? What’s your favorite ‘natural’ look mascara? I might need a cheaper alternative to this one, I’m going broke! hehe
