Ali Larter is definitely the epitome of carefree ease. I always love that her hair looks so touchable, and real. At the recent In Style Hair Issue Launch party, Ali once again opted for a natural, carefree look – sporting new bangs as well!
Harry Josh, John Frieda International Creative Consultant, created this stunning red carpet look for Ali Larter, to “emphaize how naturally and vibrant her hair is.”
I couldn’t agree more!
Here’s how Harry created this look:
- Started by spritzing hair with Root Awakening Detangling Spray,
- Blow dried in sections using a natural bristle brush to maintain her hair’s own health and shine.
- Finished the look with a styling crème to add polish to her naturally sleek, full hair.
I love how easy the steps are – you can really do this at home, beginners included! “Oh yeah, if it’s so easy why don’t you give us the products then it’ll really be easy?!” I hear you mutter. No worries, I have already read your mind, which brings me to my next point …
Giveaway time!

The first 3 readers who comment will get this set of fabulous products by John Frieda’s latest line, Root Awakening. The line that “awakens healthy hair, starting at the roots”.
All you have to do is tell me, dear readers:
What is healthy hair to you? What are your biggest hair concerns?
Please note: When leaving your comment, make sure you leave the email address you actually check, because I will be writing to you. Also, so sorry – but this contest is only open to my US and Canada readers.
Good luck! :)

You’re welcome :) Thanks for stopping by as well!
My biggest hair concern is humidity. I have great “winter” hair, when the air is dry and cool. Once the humidity rises, it takes on a mind of it’s own and all bets are off! ;( For me, hair products are a must. With that said, I try to find the most natural, chem free possible.
Great blog, and great interview on MattFlies!

I just found your blog today, and I think that it’s amazing! keep up the good work :)
as far as healthy hair is concerned, i feel that if it feels soft and looks shiny/smooth without too many split ends or buildup of products, then it’s healthy. My biggest hair concern is dryness. I live in las vegas where daily temps are 105+ on a regular basis and the desert heat combined with all the dust flying around definitely dry out my hair and turn it into a giant frizzy mess. Thank God for hair serums which work miracles!!
Hey Kate and Jackie,
Thanks for your comments about my site. I really appreciate it! Glad to have you two here :) Both of you have won the giveaway, so look out for my email!
Hi! Thanks for posting this blog about Ali! Healthy hair is hair that is bouncy, shiny, and smooth! My biggest concern is chronic damage from use of a flat iron, as this has become a staple routine for me! All that heat can’t be good for your hair, but I can’t part with my iron. It’s a love hate relationship. :)
Just in time, Jo! :) I’ll be emailing you now.
