Eye Rockz Mineral Eyeshadow Review

As someone who is starting to have more fun with makeup and sporting more colors, I was excited when Vaun from Eye Rockz emailed me asking if I’d like to review some of her mineral shadows. Handmade with natural ingredients, Eye Rockz prides itelf in being made with FDA approved ingredients, offering bright colors in affordable prices. I like!

I loved the selection Vaun gave me – I’ve asked for greens and neutrals because I love them, and also for reds because it’s time I experiment more! These swatches look different than the main image above because I took it on another day, when the sun was up! (It’s been kinda gloomy around here lately.) Left to right: Pinkalicious, Raspberry Love, Seductive, Storm, Green Mystery and Nature.

Psst… Beauty Fool readers get 10% off when you enter “RENEEROCKZ10 at checkout.

My absolute favorites are Pinkalicious (reminds me of my guitar pick, I’ve always love the color!), Seductive and Green Mystery, but all colors are pigmented and shimmery in real life. The colors go on quite sheer, and can be built up to more brighter colors, so I think it caters to everyone, whether they want a little color or a lot! I personally like a sheer color so this suited me. (I’m still a tad scared of too-bright shadow!)

I really I have no complaints about these shadows, they are simple, fuss free and do exactly what they are supposed to do. My favorite thing is probably that they are so fine, making it super easy to apply. The only ‘con’ I can see is that it’s loose powder so it’s a little messy, as with all mineral makeup – so be careful when applying and don’t put them at the edge of a table because they WILL spill over (I had an unfortunate event where my mineral makeup foundation spilled all over a hotel bathroom – yikes!). So just be extra careful. Other than that, they are great!

Do you use mineral eyeshadows? What are your thoughts on them? I’ve used mineral foundation makeup in the past, but these are my first mineral eyeshadows, and so far so good. I want more colors now… :P

I had never heard of this brand before but the eyeshadow look nice. Pinkalicious and Green Mistery are my favourites, they’re gorgeous!

Same here, those colors are really pretty.

It’s a new company, from what I could tell! From Singapore :)

Those colors look gorgeous! Not sure about the red for eyes, though; I’m not really sure how to wear red there without looking crazy. If you figure it out, can you post a picture and how-to? Also, can you add a link to the Eye Rockz site?

Oops, forgot about a link. It’s here: http://www.eyerockz.webs.com/

And yeah, red eyeshadow is pretty interesting to say the least, it’s very ‘alternative’. I’ll see if I can get my hands on some red shadow and I can do a look! I used to wear it when I was in highschool and thought I was a punk, haha. I do have a look coming up that features one of these colors, so look out for that! ;)

I saw these on another blog, the colours look gorgeous.I used to wear loads of bright colours a few years back but I seem to wear neutrals or skip eyeshadow altogether these days. I’m getting too lazy!

I do have some mineral eyeshadows but I tend not to use them as much as my MAC. For some reason it just seems easier and quicker to use pressed shadows in a pan than loose shadows!
