Having worked at one of the largest skincare companies in the world, I know for a fact that most big skincare companies spread ACTIVE INGREDIENTS into as many products as possible to make you buy more and more....and more!! The skin is our largest organ, and needs to breathe, and have access to fresh atmospheric oxygen. Globbing on too many products prevents that. Also, most thick, heavy creams are thickened with petroleum-based moisturizers (like mineral oil). These thick, heavy creams FEEL more moisturizing, but do not penetrate the dermis (because of their molecular constitution), so they can actually sit on the dermis of your face and oxidize, forming free radical damage...a major cause of skin aging! So The Solution is designed to pack a ton of active ingredients into one formula that absorbs easily and deeply into the skin- to take care of all your moisturizing needs. I guess because shampoo and conditioners are different in terms of texture and properties. I'm not too sure about The Solution though, if it's set to replace a night cream/eye cream, etc, - aren't they all fancy words for a moisturizer?
