Clinique Lash Power Mascara Review

in Eyes,Make Up,Reviews

This is a guest post by my best friend, Christine. She’s been kind enough to review the mascara she uses after I complimented her on her eyelashes. (Plus, I forced her to.) Hope you like our very first guest blogger!

The Lash Power Mascara is a product that has been higly promoted in London in the last months, so I thought I would give it a try as after quite a bit of research on the internet; I didn’t feel I found out much more than what was advertised by Clinque themselves.

The Brush

As all mascara enthusiasts know the first thing to look at when looking at a mascara is the brush. As it usually goes the bigger the better right?! Not with this mascara, it gives ample volume and length but it is perfect for getting reach of every single lash with minimal effort. It is also very clean and natural looking with no clumps.

Aided also by the small brush is the fact that it is fool proof to apply – this means the mascara only goes on your lashes and not on the surrounding area.. Great for contact lens wearers and those with sensitive eyes.

The Formula

The formula of this mascara is really what sells it. This product was designed with the Asian market in mind.

One stroke and these pretty lashes last through rain, sweat, humidity, tears. Yet the formula removes easily with warm water. Unique brush reaches and beautifully lengthens even the tiniest lashes. Vows to look pretty for 24 hours without a smudge or smear. Ophthalmologist tested, too.

I have lived in Singapore for 5 years before I moved to London so I can really appreciate the qualities of this mascara. The reasons for me buying it for wear in London is the rain! I prefer not to use waterproof mascara on my lashes as I feel that these waterproof versions are slightly harsher than the regular mascara. With this mascara’s unique formula it comes off easily with warm water.

So if your like me and like waterproof mascaras for their staying power but want to keep your lashes in tip toe condition, this mascara could be for you. Could also be added to the post Makeup, Skin care and Beauty Tips for Brides for their big day!

Does anyone else love this mascara?

I totally loveeee this mascara (and the curling version one as well). And it’s so easy to remove (just usiing water). =) Best mascara I’ve tried.

Thanks for the heads up; I have to look for this now! :) I love waterproof mascara but if this does the job without the troublesome remover, I’ll take it!

Hi ya all. Just so you know, there are two versions of this mascara. This being one of them; the other one is called Clinique Lash Power Curling Mascara (the tube is silver in color instead of the dark grey-black). Both are great (because of the formula and the tiny brush). But as the name suggested, the curling one is more curling. (Haha…duh!) =P

I will have to get the curling one, then … My eyelashes need some curl! (Plus, I am so lazy to use an eyelash curler :-P)

I havent tried this Clinique mascara… What I do know, I think you should check out the Bourjois mascaras. They have some really really cool colours, and they are so good. The best one I think is the Volume Clubbing Ultra Black. Let me know what you think of the bourjois collection… I personally love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey Maelle, I remember using Bourjois mascaras a few years ago and was always very impressed by their dark colors! I think I may have to start paying attention again, I have no idea what the latest are from them!
