yehh i have to say, i am naturallly very skinny – but eat like a horse, but i would kill to have more curves and a bit more meat on my bones, but i have to say, if you look at models like marilyn monroe, compared to the catwalk models today, i know which one i’d rather see on the front of a magazinee….

I agree with both of you! Like I wrote to Amanda above, drugs and abusing your body can make you ridiculously skinny. But I also agree some girls are naturally skinny, too.

And yeah, supermodels of the 90s seem to SPEAK more and have personalities, no? Not to mention they seemed to be real people, too!

Ah yes, drugs make you lose weight like crazy and you just look sick, which they are, sadly. Been watching some documentaries at rehab facilities and they do come in looking very emacipated, very heartbreaking

Kate has ditched the drugs, though, right? After that big scandal? (Or maybe that just made her more careful :S)

I do think a lot of girls are naturally thin, me for one… I think when I was at that age of some of the models today, I looked really thin, even sickly. Now I got some bum and curves So I do agree that some of the girls are naturally thin, though of course there are some who you can tell has some problems.

And I totally think fashion celebrated thinness, it’s very plain to see! Why else would there not be normal figured girls (like Cindy in her time?) today? I think fashion today has demanded thinness which is wrong in my opinion.

I’m not referring to skinny girls, of which I was one. The last thing I would want to say is that all skinny girls are drug addicts or anorexic. I’m referring *specifically* to Kate Moss and her cocaine and speed habit. She’s skinny because she uses drugs and doesn’t treat her body well. I’m sorry I didn’t clarify that well in my previous comment.

But it’s true that I miss these charismatic models of the 90s ! They were not just dull, super skinny girls, only used as clothes hangers, they had a shining personality.
