Hey Kammi. There are more aspects to getting old other than the physical, and that scares me too, so no, I don't think "getting old" is any fun at all! Circle of life, though :P

I have to agree with you on #9. To be honest, I agree with all of her tips, she seems to be on point. I had an idea to get this book for my mom this Mother's Day, but she's the type of person who would say, get me a facelift instead! Funny woman.

They also say for women who are younger, powders aren't that all good in cold climates and atmospheres because they can creep into fine lines, and over time just make them worse! "Dewy" is definitely more youthful, and helps prevent wrinkles and lines.

Getting old isn't fun, eh? Yellow teeth, like above. Thanks for this info. her book looks interesting, might have to check it out for myself.

Btw, number 9 is huge. Dryness in the skin looks so ageing, it makes you have wrinkled and just a very "hard" look. Moisturized skin always looks more dewy and youthful. Like you're glowing! :)

Wow thanks for your story, Jen. It's nice to know someone who "knows what they're doing" also agrees and practice these tips. Make up really can do wonders huh? :P

Yeah! I also think bangs make you think of your younger days, I mean who didn't have one as a kid?! It definitely makes someone more youthful, that's for sure.

Such smart advice! I work at as a sales associate at a high end cosmetics/skincare store and a woman came in yesterday and wanted a simpler makeup routine, had dry skin, and redness/sensitive skin. She was about 50 and her skin looked tired, matte, and lacking vitality.

I actually used around 6 of these 10 tips on her. After removing her existing makeup, applied a primer with a color corrector, a tinted moisturizer, and finished off with a cream blush (Nars Cream Blush in "O"). I also applied a slightly pink lip liner and a sheer soft pinkish lipstick. Around her eyes I applied one of my favorite eye treatments and some creamy concealer.

Her transformation was amazing! Her skin was glowing, radiant and her facial lines were significantly less noticeable around her mouth, eyes and cheeks. She looked at least 10 years younger immediately! These tips really make a huge difference, remember them!!!

I hope my mom will not be insulted if I tell her a few of the tips with regards to ageing!
The one thing I usually regard to ageing with is teeth. The 'older' folks tend to have discoloured teeth! Dull yellow. deep yellow, pale yellow. all yellows!!!! So I think whitening one's teeth is definitely a step in the right direction!!!!!
