Chanel Soleil Tan de Soleil Bronzing Powder

July 3, 2008 · Print This Article

I was out shopping with my friend today and we came across the Chanel makeup counter, and I could not take my eyes off this thing - Chanel’s new Soleil Tan de Chanel moisturizing bronzing powder, an “illuminating bronzing powder”, said to ”deliver a natural gorgeous bronze glow that never looks dull or flat.”

It was beautiful; sitting there as I began to make excuses as to why I should buy something I didn’t really need.

The packaging was perfection, and I tried all the shades and they were stunning. The colors were so light and went on the skin very finely, so the tan it gave was very natural - not the fake, harsh colors I’ve been seeing in other bronzers lately. The brush that comes with it is wonderful, and that little wave print they have on the bronzer is fantastic, I couldn’t stop touching it!

Soliel de Chanel is part of it’s Summer 2008 color collection, and it’s pretty much the star - I didn’t even notice what the other collection consisted of!

Unfortunately when I asked the saleslady for the price, (US$50) I immediately heard a silent cry from my wallet and knew I could not - this thing is pretty darn expensive!

Oh well. I shall just stare at the pretty picture. :(

This is a beautiful looking product! I haven’t tried this particular product myself but I do know that these more expensive products have a much finer application as the product itself is finer. I love love the water ripples effect on the product. The brush is very important for application do you know what the bristles are- like if they are natural or what? Thanks :D

Got something to say?
