Bond No. 9 The Scent of Peace Review

May 9, 2008   in Fragrance, Reviews

The Scent of Peace was my very first Bond No. 9 fragrance I’ve ever tried, and it’s given me a good – make that great – impression of the brand already – I am dying to try out more of their scents!

The Scent of Peace is an uplifting citrus floral scent; notes include grapefruit, black currant, lily of the valley and musk.

I’ve read tons of reviews and comments on this fragrance and some claim that it is so similar to Dolce and Gabbana’s Light Blue that you should save your money and get Light Blue.

In my opinion, this does smell very much like Light Blue, but less ‘airy’ and little more stronger – I think that’s the blackcurrant in it. Other than that, the dry down smells almost identical to Light Blue – oops!

Either way, I like this scent a lot – it is fresh, airy, but also sexy and deep. I even had a few compliments on it, which is always nice. ;)

The Scent of Peace was the winner in a top 5 finalists for 2007 Fragrance of the Year FIFI Award and sells for $130 for a 50ml bottles, and $195 for 100ml.

Wow, this fragrance smells exactly like Light Blue. Although I love this scent I will just keep buying Light Blue, much less expensive. I do love all the other scents though.
