Anne Hathaway’s Makeup in Lancôme’s Magnifique Commercial

in Celebrity Looks,How To/Tips

If there’s one word to describe how Anne Hathaway looked in the commercial for Manifique, Lancôme’s latest perfume, it would be magnificent … Hehe. So original. I saw this screen shot and was hooked. She looked so stunning, I had to write to Lancome and ask what was used on her.

anne

Here’s the makeup Anne is wearing:

  • Photogenic Lumessence in Buff 5
  • Photogenic Loose Powder in Translucent
  • Effacernes Concealer in Light Buff
  • Flash Retouche Shade #1
  • Tropiques Minérale in Natural Sunbath
  • Color Design Eye in Ciel du Soir Applied all over the lid and into the contour.
  • Color Design Eyeshadow in Statuesque to intensify the lash line and create a smokier lid.
  • Le crayon Poudre in Sable to fill in and extend the brows
  • Le Crayon Khôl in Black Ebony wrapped around the entire eye
  • Oscillation mascara (their famous vibrating one – more info here)
  • L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick in Couture Suede
  • Bronzelle Lipliner

That’s a lot of makeup … I love that Lancôme really gave me the exclusive’s on this one, as I love this look and hope you do too!

I find this whole look above so classy. I love the smokey eyes (how to do a simple smokey eye, here) and the dark lips – they say you should either focus on your eyes or lips, but I think this was done very well, it doesn’t look over the top at all. Her new modernized bob is pretty amazing too. Overall, I think this look is so classic and sophisticated. Any thoughts on this makeup look? :)

I love her skin. Her skintone is so even it blows my mind! When I watched the 1st Princess Diaries, her amazing skin was the first thing to catch my attention. I prefer her paleness to the dime a dozen orange hued starlets out there.

And her look here is great; very classy. Although I kind of wish she had her trademark red lips. I think Couture Suede is more of a nude lipstick, but it looks a little too brown for my own liking (unless it was just the screen shot.) Nevertheless, she looks stunning!

Totally agree about the ‘orange hued’ stars out there. Anne is just so refreshing and … ugh, the girl is just classy! Love her trademark red lips too, perhaps they just wanted the focus to be on the perfume bottle, which is red as well? We all know red lips stand out the most! ;-)

Hello Renee,

You’ve got my wife excited. She has the same coloration as the model in the Lancome ad; I think maybe you share that look, too. Also, she likes your new blog look and so do I. It is so clean and fresh looking now; very ideal.

You are way ahead of me on getting your blog fixed up. I can see where Matt Langford of http://www.MattFlies.com may have been of some help to you there.

I would say you’ve positioned yourself well in a good niche with your blog and, at the rate you are going, you will have a monster-size following in time.

Cheers,

Lawrence

Hey Lawrence,

Thanks for the compliments with the new blog look. I’m actually proud to say I did this all by myself, but yeah, a few codes here and there were from Matt and the help at the support forums. Other than that, I’m very, very happy of this design and I am finally satisfied. Glad to hear all the comments that my readers like it too, so I think we have a winner… finally! :)

You’re right actually, your wife and I do share the same coloring as Anne Hathaway: brown hair and eyes, and fair skin. Where is your wife from, may I ask?

Again, thank you for your comments about my site. I am having so much fun with it and really try to make it the best I can, so comments like yours really makes my day. :)

Hey yourself, Renee,

Ah, you are welcomed to the compliments. I am always pleased to be of service.

I knew you did this whole thing without any real outside assistance. (You and I know someone in common; Gary Jones.) I just provoked you so you would say it again for the people who missed it the first time. Good for you. You deserve full credit for a job well-done. Let me tell you, you are miles ahead of me; nah, better make that hundreds of miles.

And, yes, your new look grabbed my wife’s attention. She is a young Filipina lady. I am in the Philippines as I write this comment. I have been here for a little over three years. We are coming to America to live shortly–I hope by mid-summer, God willing.

Anyway, you have made a good start on making your beauty blog a fun hangout for women.

Cheers,

Lawrence

Well aren’t you sneaky! ;) Thanks Lawrence. And yes, I know Gary – he was the one who helped me out with the “stay updated” bit on my navigation bar! Really nice guy and so helpful. The forums are fantastic, I think. Thanks again for the comments! I hope you find a ‘look’ and design you are really happy with for your blog as well, I’ll be checking in to see your progress for sure. If I can ever help with anything (although I don’t know much haha) feel free to ask. If not I can always point you to the right website that can help! :)

Say hello to your wife and I hope to see her around here sometime! All the best with your move, take care. :-)
