Afternoon Manicures at Pink Parlor

The weekend before I left for Europe, I met up with fellow beauty blogger Sophie of Beautynomics at a cozy lttle place called Pink Parlor. It was a chance to catch up and meet, as it will be awhile ’til we are both in the same country!

Pink Parlor is like a girl’s dream hangout: Gossip Girl is playing on a big screen in front of us, chocolates and drinks were served, and it really is such a cute, cozy place … I love the pink and black interior, as you can probably tell it’s my favorite color combination. ;-)

Sophie got a pedicure and I got my first manicure after a long, long time. I believe my last manicure was when I was a little girl with my mom! I decided to get a manicure because pedicures for me are kinda pointless, I only like black on my toes and it’ll be a bit of a waste since I already do it myself! So, I opted for a manicure, and since I’m so “new” to it I chose a simple, nude color.

The manicure was fantastic. They started off with the usual; filing nails, clipping, cutting cuticles, etc. Then was a hand massage, a sugar and salt scrub (so ticklish!), and the moisturize they used smelt so good (I asked and it was a blueberry scent. I never knew they smelt so good!). I was very happy with my results and asked Sophie to take a photo:

Isn’t it gorgeous? I am in love with the color. It’s such a stunning nude and I love how it’s so sheer, the whites of my nails go through, kinda looks alittle bit like a french manicure! The color is O.P.I’s Privacy Please, and I think the name suits it to a T. If you’re looking for a simple, beige-based nude, I highly recommend checking out this one by O.P.I.

I can’t stop staring at my nails, they look so good! Like I said earlier, I haven’t really had a manicure and I had been biting my nails for a good 5 years, (just stopped last year, although the hangnails still get a good chewing now and again) so I haven’t seen my nails look this good, ever.
